Job Description:

Stamford Health System is seeking a Director of Trauma and Surgical
Care. This is a leadership position with direct responsibility
for overseeing all aspects of the Division including program development,
trauma credentialing, protocol implementation, marketing and peer
review as well as other clinical and administrative responsibilities.
The Director will also play an important role in the General Surgical
residency program affiliated with Columbia University College
of Physicians and Surgeons.

An even mix of clinical and administrative duties can be expected.

Stamford Hospital is an academic medical center and a teaching
affiliate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons
featuring a 305 bed hospital and outpatient surgical center. The
Emergency Department evaluates over 46,000 patients annually with
a growing trauma service with an estimated annual volume of over
700 cases. The ICU is a combined 14-bed unit with an associated
10-bed intermediate care unit. The Department of Surgery is comprised
of over 120 appointed surgeons in all specialties.
