Job Description:
Sigma Medical Group, a St. Elizabeth Regional Health partner,
seeks an experienced physician to serve as its Medical Director
of Hospitalist Services. Interested candidates must be board
certified in Internal Medicine and possess hospitalist experience.
In
this leadership position, you will provide medical, administrative
and financial oversight to the hospitalist program. The group's
goal is to expand its current coverage to 24/7. In addition,
you will develop and manage collaborative relationships with referring
physicians and key stakeholders. Other responsibilities include:
strategic goal setting; development of quality programs in conjunction
with FHAP, CMA and other standards; participation in the development
and implementation of practice standards and clinical guidelines;
interaction with hospital strategic leadership and other health
professionals in achieving organizational program goals. The hospitalist program will be based out of St. Elizabeth's Hospital
East, a new hospital scheduled to open in 2009. Prior to that,
the position will oversee the hospitalist service at Home Hospital
and St. Elizabeth's Medical Center (the region's preferred choice
for comprehensive medical care). The new facility combines sophisticated
technology, the latest treatments, compassionate care and the
healing power of hope. Features of the new hospital include:
150 inpatient beds, 8 state-of-the-art operating room suites,
27 emergency department bays and private patient rooms! Position offers a very competitive income along with a complete
