Job Description:

Children's Hospital Central California, one of the 10 largest,
free-standing children's hospitals in the country seeks a well
established pediatric gastroenterologist to serve as the Medical
Director of the pediatric gastroenterology program. In this position,
you will have the responsibility for maintaining an overall posture
of leadership to the five member department and the medical staff.
Responsibilities include providing excellence at all levels of
patient care; the oversight of the improvement and peer review
standards; develop and maintain Pediatric Gastroenterology Performance
Improvement Plan; participation in the Department's budgeting
cycle; and providing oversight to physician inpatient and emergency
staffing needs and assessing he adequacy of the department structure.

This beautiful 297-bed facility occupies a 50-acre campus on the
bluffs of the San Joaquin River just north of Fresno. In addition
to the main hospital, the campus also contains medical and professional
buildings, a child development center, a heliport, and sits next
to the Ronald McDonald House.

Children's Hospital Central California boasts a medical staff
of 420 doctors practicing in over 40 pediatric subspecialties.
This impressive facility offers a 65-bed NICU, a 32-bed PICU,
and eight state-of-the-art surgical suites. Plans are underway
to add five more suites by the year 2013.
