Job Description:

The Connecticut Children's Medical Center's Faculty Practice Plan
and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut
School of Medicine seek additional bc/be pediatric gastroenterologists.
In this position, you will join a busy, well-established department
consisting of four pediatric gastroenterologists, three RN's,
two nurse practitioners and three registered dietitians. Currently,
the group is seeking two pediatric gastroenterologists, one as
a clinician educator and one as a clinician scientist with a laboratory
or non-laboratory based research program. The group has an active
and basic clinical research agenda and an NIH-funded lab. The
department has a strong clinical and basic science program in
inflammatory bowel disease, bone health and clinical trials.
Interested candidates should have a scholarly interest in medical
education, bench, translational or clinical research.

Connecticut Children's Medical Center is a 135-bed, free standing
children's hospital with an 18-bed PICU and a 32-bed NICU. CCMC
maintains a Division or Research, a research center and serves
as a satellite for the General Clinical Research Center for the
University of Connecticut School of Medicine residency program
in pediatrics and pediatric surgical specialties. The Connecticut
Children's Faculty Practice Plan as a 100+ physician group.

Academic appointment at the University of Connecticut is available,
commensurate with level of training and experience. Position
offers a very competitive salary with a full and comprehensive
benefits package. An attractive call arrangement is in place
and will be one in six when recruitment efforts are complete.
