Job Description:
The Connecticut Children's Medical Center (CCMC)and the Department
of Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine
seeks a BC/BE pediatric pulmonologist to join its Pulmonary Division.
The Division includes three physicians and has active research
and clinical programs in asthma, cystic fibrosis, chronic infant
lung disease, home ventilation, sickle cell disease, sleep medicine,
and medical education. The Division also directs an accredited pediatric pulmonary fellowship
program. Candidates should have a scholarly interest in medical
education; bench, translational, or clinical research; or development
of new pulmonary programs. Interested candidates must be BC/BE
in pediatric pulmonology and eligible for medical licensure in
the state of Connecticut. Connecticut Children's Medical Center is the only hospital in
the state devoted exclusively to the care of children. The 132-bed
facility is the home of the University Of Connecticut School Of
Medicine's residency programs in pediatrics. The Faculty Practice
Plan is a 100+ physician, multi-specialty pediatric group (medical
& surgical), which is closely affiliated with Connecticut Children's
Medical Center. Academic appointment at the University of Connecticut is available
and will be commensurate with level of training and experience.
