Memorial Health System seeks a board certified pediatric surgeon to join a well-established group committed to growing its pediatric subspecialty services. This position offers a competitive income with a full and comprehensive benefits package. Academic affiliation is available through The University of Notre Dame, Indiana University and Memorial Hospital’s family practice residency program. In addition, the opportunity exists to participate in clinical research if so desired. Immediately, you will be responsible for the growth and development of the pediatric surgery services. Interested candidates should be board certified in pediatric surgery and have the ability to develop and lead this service line. The selected individual should possess five to ten years of experience and will be involved in the future recruitment of a second pediatric surgeon. Currently, the group consists of board certified physicians in pediatric hematology/oncology, pulmonology, infectious disease; neonatology and pediatric hospitalists. Plans are underway to add several additional pediatric subspecialties to the group. Memorial Hospital is a 526-bed facility with a Level III Perinatal and Neonatal Intensive Care Units and a Level II Trauma Center. An expansion plan includes 16 surgical suites, a 50-bed level IIIB NICU, 12-bed PICU, 38 general pediatric beds and an eight bed pediatric hematology/oncology unit.
