The Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Penn State Cancer Institute, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Hematologist for a full time faculty appointment at the level of Associate, Assistant or Full Professor. Candidates should be board eligible/board certified with a particular interest in Benign Hematology and Hemostasis. There is a tenured track Career Development Professorship in Hematology for qualified candidates. This position includes direct patient care, teaching responsibilities and clinical/basic research. You will be spending as much as 75% of your time conducting research. The Penn State Cancer Institute delivers cancer services throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania. The Institute's mission includes clinical care, research, education and community outreach. Fellows take first call. Hematologists share call with other members of the department of benign and malignant hematology. Successful candidates will be focused on one area of specialty but also should have the training to manage patients with malignant hematologic disorders. The development of programs in clinical care and research is a priority for the Penn State Cancer Institute, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. The new Penn State Cancer Center facility will open in 2008.
