Job Description:
The Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Penn State Cancer Institute, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Hematologist for a full time faculty appointment at the level of Associate, Assistant or full Professor. Candidates should be board eligible/board certified with a particular interest in Malignant Hematology. This position includes direct patient care, teaching responsibilities and clinical/basic research. There is an emphasis on research. As much as 75% of your time will be spent conducting research. Hematologists share call with other members of the Section of Benign and Malignant Hematology. The Department is currently performing approximately 125 bone marrow transplants annually. The Penn State Cancer Institute delivers cancer services throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania. The Institute's mission includes clinical care, research, education and community outreach. The development of programs in clinical care and research is a priority for the Penn State Cancer Institute, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. The new Penn State Cancer Center facility will open in 2008.
